Question: “May I join NEHS as a freshman?”
Answer: “No, students must have earned a minimum of two semesters of high school English credit at WFHS prior to joining NEHS.”

Question: “May I join NEHS if my overall GPA is below 3.0?”
Answer: “No, an overall GPA of 3.0 is a national requirement for membership in NEHS.”

Question: “What if my overall GPA is above 3.0, but my GPA for the high school English classes I’ve taken is below 3.0, may I still join NEHS?”
Answer: “No, a GPA of 3.0 for the high school English classes you’ve taken is a national requirement for membership in NEHS.”
Question: “Are there scholarships available to cover the membership fees for NEHS?”
Answer: “There are no NEHS membership scholarships available at this time.”
Question: “What if I belonged to a chapter of NEHS at another school. May I transfer my membership to the Black Hawks chapter?”
Answer: “You may certainly join the Black Hawks chapter of NEHS! Simply provide proof of membership from you former school and you will be welcomed with open arms.”
